Fic recs!

The owner of the sadly-now-defunct Society of R. A. O. U. L. webpage wrote three very silly parody fics about Raoul's fangirls saving him from various dangers: Rescuing Raoul, For the Love of a Vicomte, and The Admirers Strike Back (incomplete).

Have you seen The Happy Ending Stealers, which also features the girls from R.A.O.U.L?

A couple more fic recs: Friend or Phantom? is an R/C twist on the 'modern-day cast find their offstage lives reflecting the events of the musical' trope. The writer is obviously a bit inexperienced (and the parallels in the ending get a bit too close to be plausible), but it's an interesting variant on a usually hackneyed theme.

And The Very Best of Badfics does what it says :-p I've seen a few of these parody collections, but this is quite a good one.

I was rather tempted to sing that that jolly tune about whistling whilst you work from that fairytale. You know, the one with the lady in the coma and the seven vertically challenged men. I didn't, of course. It WAS a graveyard after all. It wouldn't be fitting at all.
She had long curly brown hair, the exact colour (but not texture) of chocolate. She had large, dark eyes, the exact shade of a similar brand of chocolate. Her skin was extraordinarily pale, rather like milk, but certainly not like milk chocolate.
"This is our new patron, the Viscount Pierre de Frenchname." Andre said pompously.
